Echinacea ‘Raspberry Tart’ has one of the deepest magenta flowers seen in an Echinacea to date. The flowers are small and extremely numerous. Compact plant with masses of darkest maroon Echinacea flowers an absolute darling and ideal for mid border mass planting. Blooms all summer. Ideal also as cut flowers for indoors. Easy to grow. Fragrant.

Echinacea comes from the Greek word “echinos” meaning hedgehog in reference to the flower’s spiny centre cone.

Echinacea ‘Raspberry Tart’ is easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Best in full sun. An adaptable plant that is tolerant of drought, heat, humidity and poor soil. Does not however like extremely low pH soil conditions. Divide clumps when they become overcrowded (about every 4 years). Plants may require deadheading, or removal of spent flowers to improve general appearance and encourage repeat flowering. Ideal mass border impact plant.
