Echinacea Pink Poodle
Echinacea ‘Pink Poodle’ has an extraordinary full double pink ‘dahlia-like’ flowerhead. The blooms are not only striking but are a massive 10cm in diameter. Flowers may develop a fuller form gradually from an initial flower that looks more like a traditional Echinacea, adding additional rows of petals from the central flower head as they mature. A tall growing robust Echinacea with sturdy stems and an upright habit lending itself well to use as a cut-flower.
Echinacea ‘Pink Poodle’ produces multiple flowers in Spring and again in Autumn. Mix and match from the extensive colour range of Living Fashion Echinaceas.
Echinacea ‘Pink Poodle’ is easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil. Prefers a full sun position. Echinaceas do not like extremely low pH (acidic) soil conditions which may prove fatal. Ideal pH 5.8-7.3. Divide clumps when they become overcrowded (about every 4 years). Plants may require deadheading, or removal of spent flowers to improve general appearance and encourage repeat flowering. Ideal mass border impact plant in combination with other Echinaceas. Great cutting flower for indoor floral work.
Average water requirements. Easy care. Hardy. 0.8 x 0.7m
