Echinacea Fragrant Angel
Echinacea ‘Fragrant Angel’ is a truly spectacular Echinacea providing unsurpassed pure white massive flowers similar in size and beautifully complementary to Echinacea ‘Ruby Giant’. Flowers increase in size over the first 2-3 years of growing. Flowers are fragrant with a double row of white petals with a huge yellow cone, held on well branched stems. Flowers over a prolonged period Summer-Autumn. Echinacea comes from the Greek word “echinos” meaning hedgehog in reference to the flower’s spiny centre cone.
Echinacea ‘Fragrant Angel’ is easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Best in full sun. An adaptable plant that is tolerant of drought, heat, humidity and poor soil. Echinaceas do not like extremely low pH soil conditions. Divide clumps when they become overcrowded (about every 4 years). Plants usually re-bloom without deadheading, however prompt removal of spent flowers improves general appearance
