Anemone Wild Swan
A new hybrid with a lengthy flowering period, Anemone ‘Wild Swan’ produces masses of large white flowers with a striking mauve blue on the backs of the petals which causes the beds of these elegant flowers to ‘shimmer’ in the wind. Anemone ‘Wild Swan’ will flower continuously from Spring through Autumn. Woodland plants, Anemones are lovely mass planted under deciduous trees and are happy in the shade garden. Anemone ‘Wild Swan’ is distinctive in its over-sized flowers which continue for many months through the season.
Originating from Scotland, Anemone ‘Wild Swan is cold tolerant, and enjoys moist soils so don’t let it dry out in the hot summer months especially when establishing. Cut back stems once flowers have faded. Feed in spring with slow release fertilizer to enhance flowering. RHS Plant of the Year 2011.
